The Grand Canyon

First night was brutal, VERY cold. But stuck through it and woke up to a inch of snow on the canyon. We got up at 5AM and headed to the rim of the Grand Canyon. It was very foggy but as the sun rose it cleared some spots and created some awesome photos.

Headed back to camp after freezing our fingers off, made a fire and cooked some hamburgers for breakfast. Ehhh not AS bad as you might think. After that we packed back up and headed back as it got warmer and ventured around a bit.

Elk everywhere!

Headed back to camp for a bit, then back out we went for sunset! I wandered a bit from the rest and ended up on this ridge way out in front of the Watchtower. it was pretty amazing. No one else seems to tempt to go where people don't go. All I had to do is jump down from the top ridge and a tiny trail along the side out to this amazing view.

Day 2 complete.
